Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Gölhisar Vocational Schools and Insitu Green Technologies Inc. held a meeting on “Collaboration Among Key Stakeholders Playing a Key Role in the Context of the Green Deal” within the scope of university-industry cooperation.

Hosted by Orallar Group Companies Insitu Green Technologies Inc. at Orallar Plaza, the meeting was attended by Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz GÜRSOY, Prof. Dr. Azra JAGANJAC, Prof. Dr. Carmen SERDAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. R.Esra DEMİRDÖĞEN, Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Rector's Advisor Lecturer Veysel DAL, Gölhisar School of Applied Sciences Director Dr. Lecturer Ersan OKATAN, Gölhisar Health Services Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazife Nazife BAKIR and Deputy Director Dr. Lecturer Hakan TEKELİ, Gölhisar Vocational School Director Dr. İhsan AŞIK and Deputy Director Lecturer Murat ERTİLAV, Orallar Group Board Members Levent ORAL, Mehmet ORAL and Fatih ORAL participated.

Collaboration for a Green Future:

Green Chemistry and Engineering ambassadors Prof. Dr. Azra JAGANJAC and Prof. Dr. Carmen SERDAN, who attended the meeting, inspired the participants with their valuable presentations and brainstorming. They emphasized that the current linear economic model is not suitable for the future and that the transition to green technologies is not a choice but a necessity. After the meeting, the foundations of new international collaborations and projects were laid.

At the meeting, within the scope of the “European Green Deal” signed in 2019, to which our country is also a party, the transition to a circular economy, zero waste, the protection of natural wealth, sustainable transportation, energy, transformation in rural areas, agriculture and production, achieving a neutral climate, green technologies to be implemented in the industry, fifth-generation university models to be implemented in education, collaborations to be established between decision-makers and the society that will implement and shape all these processes, working and international solidarity models were discussed.

After the meeting, the newly established Supercritical Carbon Extraction Facility in Gölhisar by Orallar Group in line with green technologies was visited, and information was provided to the participants.
